What is Rock Pine | Wasong?

Rock Pine also known as Wasong comes from the Genus Orostachys and is an herb native in the mountains of Korea, Japan and other neighboring asian countries. It is a succulent and grows well in dry climates.

For thousands of years it has been taken for its medicinal properties. Rock Pine contains an abundant amount of sterols. Research suggests that it decreases the absorption and synthesis of cholesterol and results in lowering blood cholesterol levels.
